… and phalli as fertility symbols in many more countries all over the world …

I transformed a worn down caravan into a “phallic shrine” as part of art project Tour d’Artistique by Pet van de Luijtgaarden – a collection of caravans with different collections-turned-into-art [Lego, stuffed animals, vinyl, Star Wars figures, etc.] in the interior.

The Phallic Shrine enables people to enter and decorate their own phallic symbol, to place it on/near the “altar” as a “fertility offering”, or just because they want to decorate a dildo. The Phallic Shrine was exhibited as part of the changing exhibit, amongst others, at the Twente Biennale and at Lowlands Festival.
